I’M OFTEN ASKED HOW I CAPTURE THE REAL LIFE MAGIC AND LOVE OF FAMILIES AND COUPLES. WELL, THE TRUTH IS I SEE YOUR CONNECTION, PASSION AND DEVOTION AND IT INSPIRES ME. YOUR LOVE IS SO APPARENT AND TANGIBLE. IT’S LIKE TAKING A PHOTO OF A FLOWER OR A BIRD...

IT’S JUST RIGHT THERE, OBVIOUS AS CAN BE! ALL I HAVE TO DO IS GET YOU TOGETHER IN THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT AND WAIT FOR THE MAGIC TO REVEAL ITSELF. BUT BEHIND THE ART AND THE MANY LAYERS TO MY PROCESS AND VISION, THERE IS A METHOD TO THE MAGIC:

It begins with understanding. Over the phone or out on a coffee date I’ll get to know you and your family. You can tell me everything that makes your family so special. I love hearing every little detail and I’ll also find out your wants, desires and any specific vision you want captured. 

Next, you’ll choose from a wide list of locations for your photo shoot. I put immense amounts of time and thought into these locations. Each one is dynamic, unique and gorgeous. They’re all perfectly suited for families or couples – they allow for interaction with the environment and you won’t have to ask your kids to smile because they’ll already be having the time of their lives.

I offer lots of help getting you ready for your big day. I have a questionnaire to dial in your preferred color scheme and style of clothes and all my clients receive access to an online styling site. I even help you connect with professional hair and makeup artists that can come to you before the shoot. From drive time to parking and every logistical piece, I make sure you have everything you need.

During the shoot I bring the warmth and comfort of an old friend, putting your family at ease from the first moment. I’ll offer gentle prompts when needed, but mostly I just let you be you, unguarded, unposed and honest.

And that, my dear, is how magic is captured and your family’s love comes to life through photos.
